DM_Meteor2_2936176.jpgHundreds of people in Peru have complained of sickness after a fiery object was seen falling from space near the town of Carancas in Peru. The object, which is thought to be a meteorite, fell to earth on Saturday night on an uninhabited plateau near Lake Titicaca in the Andes. The crash, which was heard by locals, left a crater 65 feet wide and 16 feet deep. Since then, around 200 people who visited the site have complained of symptoms including nausea, vomiting, headaches, and eye and skin irritation. Local farm animals are also said to be effected. Health workers have speculated that the illness may be caused by toxic fumes released at the crash site.
